Veterans for America First Announces Official North Carolina State Chapter Leadership: Shiver, Donovan, Draper

July 31, 2025 — Veterans for America First – Veterans for Trump is proud to formally announce the authorized leadership team for the VFAF North Carolina State Chapter, affirming the legitimacy of its official representatives and condemning recent misuse of its name and branding through a cloned, unauthorized website.
Veteran Jimbo Shiver, a respected North Carolina conservative and VFAF National Ambassador, has been appointed as President of the VFAF North Carolina State Chapter. Shiver brings decades of experience as a patriot, veteran, and America First leader to the role, providing strong guidance rooted in honor, service, and integrity.
He is joined by David Draper, Vice Chair of the Martin County GOP and VFAF National Ambassador, whose background in grassroots organizing and political leadership strengthens the chapter’s outreach across Eastern North Carolina.
Completing the leadership team is Kari Donovan, a nationally recognized political journalist and America First voice, also serving as a VFAF National Ambassador. Donovan's communications expertise and deep ties to the movement will play a key role in messaging and public engagement.
These three leaders—Shiver, Draper, and Donovan—constitute the only officially recognized VFAF North Carolina State Chapter. The national organization confirms that any cloned or falsely presented website claiming to represent a "North Carolina VFAF chapter" is unauthorized, illegitimate, and operating in bad faith.
Veterans for America First remains committed to its national mission of supporting President Donald Trump, promoting conservative values, and standing with America’s veterans. With North Carolina now under legitimate leadership, the organization is moving forward to expand operations and endorsements across the state with transparency and legal integrity.
