Veterans for America First Texas announces its support for Mark Fury for Harris County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Place 2.
The announcement is made by Justin Schiro, Texas Media Relations Officer for Veterans for America First and a United States Army combat veteran who served in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division.
For veterans, service is more than a word. It means responsibility, discipline, accountability and answering the call when your community needs you.
Mark Fury brings previous experience on the bench and years of public service back to the courthouse.
Fury previously served two elected terms as a Harris County Justice of the Peace. During that service, his court addressed a significant case backlog while continuing to process thousands of new cases.
After leaving the bench, Fury continued his work in Harris County government and healthcare operations, including service with Harris Health System and Ben Taub Hospital.
Veterans for America First Texas recognizes candidates whose records reflect public service, experience and a willingness to step forward when leadership is required.
Those of us who wore the uniform learned something early:
